Bollards in hydraulic power use hydraulic fluid to drive the cylinder. Fluid is pumped into the cylinder to raise the bollard, and the same fluid is released to lower it down to the ground. Hydraulic power is best for heavy steel bollards but is more expensive.
Pneumatic Bollards
Pneumatic-powered bollards move the posts by using air. Air is forced into the cylinder to push the bollard up, and it is slowly released when it has to be taken down.
