Fire Extinguisher

Fire safety must be upheld at all times, and you can prevent damage and save lives with a reliable fire extinguisher.

Having a fire extinguisher readily available can help prevent fire accidents in commercial and residential settings. Unfortunately, these crucial safety tools are often overlooked or undervalued, as fire safety is typically not prioritized unless mandated by law.

However, you should never wait for the law to tell you what to do. Be proactive in promoting fire safety in your home or place of business. At All Security Equipment, we have all fire extinguisher types for various application purposes.

The Amerex Brand

Our fire extinguishers come from the Amerex brand. As a top brand for fire safety products, Amerex elevates the standard of fire protection. The company has been around since 1971 and is a subsidiary of McWane Inc.

With more than 50 years of experience in the industry, Amerex is continuously innovating to keep up with the perils of modern-day fire hazards. This brand also prides itself on having an ISO 14000 certification, which means that the company maintains strict, environmentally sound standards.

Classifications of Fire Extinguishers

Amerex fire extinguishers are available in several classes. The cause of the fire is not always the same. A fire extinguisher will not work if you use it on a fire it wasn’t made for.

Class A. Class A fires come from ordinary combustibles such as trash, plastics, paper, and wood.
Class B. Flammable liquids like oil, gasoline, solvents, paints, oil-based products, and lacquer cause a Class B fire.
Class C. A Class C extinguisher stops Class C fires that stem from energized electrical equipment.
Class D. Class D involves metals like lithium, magnesium and titanium.
Class K. Class K fire extinguishers mainly involve kitchen accidents brought about by oils and grease.

Amerex also offers ABC fire extinguishers, which come in handy as you only need one extinguisher to deal with ABC classes. The ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher contains monoammonium phosphate for stopping flames.
