Pedestrian Turnstiles

An easy and effective way to control pedestrian traffic in your space is through the use of a pedestrian turnstile. These devices are incredibly useful for controlling the flow of traffic in or out of a space, creating set access points, and slowing down the flow of people who can move through a gate. 

The biggest benefit of a pedestrian turnstile is the high level of security it provides through pedestrian traffic control. Most pedestrian turnstiles are used to limit access to a space to one person at a time, slowing down the number of people who can rush to enter a space. This can be beneficial in large venues, high traffic buildings, or spaces where you don’t want crowds to dangerously rush in. 

These turnstiles also only allow users to enter a specific way, functioning as either a set entrance or exit. If you have an access point where you want to allow users to only enter, not exit, a turnstile can be set to direct traffic the way you want it to go. 

Turnstiles of a set size can also limit the ability to move large items or unrestricted items into a space. For example, a turnstile entrance for public transport won’t allow for large items to come through, limiting the concern of people trying to move large objects into a space where it’s not allowed.
