I know we are often confused about such simple things like which operator has what receiver and with what transmitter does that receiver go, right? So I am here to simplify your life with this cool little chart of who’s who, starting with the Chamberlain/LiftMaster world of wireless access control which is almost impossible for mere humans to understand… ‘let me clear it up for you’…
If your LiftMaster receiver is 412HM, Star250-390 or Star 450-390 you will be using any of the 900LM Series including the LIF-977LM wireless keypad, the 892LT with the “learning” feature or any device ending in MAX (these are programmable clear across the spectrum for any frequency belonging to LiftMaster/Chamberlain and Craftsman… it truly is the awesome MAX Series).
Now, if your LiftMaster receiver is 312HM or a Star 250-315, Star 450-315 or the date code on your gate or garage operator is between 2006 and 2012, then you will be using 300LM series, any of the 890LT Series “learning” transmitters as well as the LIF-377LM wireless keypad or any device ending in MAX which again are programmable clear across the spectrum for any frequency belonging to LiftMaster/Chamberlain and Craftsman… and if you are not 100% positive about the unit you have and need something that will work with multiple frequencies and with most of the garage door and gate openers out there, may I suggest the LIF-890MAX, 892MAX and the 895MAX as well as the 877MAX Keypad. Now Linear/MultiCode is so much simpler… You match up the MultiCode 1099 series receiver (-20 = 110VAC, -30 = 24VDC, -40 = 12VDC and -50 = 12-24 VAC or VDC and 300/310 Mhz) with the any of the 3000 or 4000 Series of Multi Code/Stanley transmitters. While the Linear is slightly different as most telephone entry systems (RE-1, RE-2, AE-500, AE-1000Plus and the AE-2000Plus and the AP-5 Receiver) incorporate an on board receiver with block load programming, and use any of the “A” Keychain or “M” Visor Series transmitters while still having available a variety of remote transmitters ranging from the Stanley, MegaCode, MultiCode, M
