Question: Donovan asked us... Can I access the Linear RE-1 from another location that is not from inside the house?
Answer: Good evening Donovan, per your recent email inquiry, the answer is yes, the RE-1 when connected to a POT’s line (plain ole’ telephone line) from your local provider, can be programmed to remotely answer your call and allow you to speak and monitor your front gate, open and/or hold open your gate. However it also has an “intercom mode” with this type of connection it will generate its own ringtone, thus it will only allow you access to the system from whichever house phones it is connected to.
