Is there a way to Open and Hold my gates open using my FAAC two button remote?

Question:Mike needs some help with his FAAC gates… Is there a way to "open" and "hold" my gates open using my FAAC two button remote? My system was connected to the phone lines by the previous owners, but i have since dropped a line and want to only use the remotes to operate the gates.

Answer: Hey Mike, per your recent online enquiry, there is only one way to connect your FAAC operator to hold open with your remote and that is to turn off the auto-close feature and have it “step-by-step” which means that you have to click to open and click to close. Other than that, my recommendation would be to install a very simple “hold open” button or key switch, which in essence will hold your gate open while activated and allow it to auto-close when deactivated.
