The AMEREX model B417T is a dry chemical commercial fire extinguisher with an ABC rating to combat fires that include ordinary materials such as cloth, paper, wood (Class A), flammable liquids and gases (Class B), or live electrical equipment (Class C). This AMEREX fire extinguisher is ideal for healthcare, transportation, education, and light industrial settings. Designed for longevity, this ABC fire extinguisher features durable high-gloss polyester powder paint with an all-metal valve construction. The easy-to-follow directions on the fire extinguisher with graphics illustrating P.A.S.S. (pull, aim, spray, sweep) make it simple to use.

ABC or Multi-Purpose extinguishers utilize a specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical. It chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F and coats surface to which it is applied. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator.
