AWID LR-3000 White AWID Logo Long Range Reader | AWI-LR-3000-0-0

AWID's LR-3000™ Long-Range Reader is an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) tag and card reader used in RFID applications like gate access for vehicles and physical access for people. Its electronics and antenna are integrated in a single compact enclosure. The LR-3000 is optimally designed for Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) and Access Control applications such as gate control in a parking facility. It also provides identification and access for people at doorways, wheelchairs at elevators, and gurneys at hospital entrances. The LR-3000 Reader assures security by use of AWID's proprietary encryption for communications between the reader and its UHF vehicle tags and hand-held cards.

25-Foot Hands-Free Read Range for Vehicle and Pedestrian Access

The AWID LR-3000 is a commercial-grade UHF RFID reader built for Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) and facility access control. With a read range of up to 25 feet using passive, battery-free tags, vehicles are identified, and gates opened without stopping or rolling down a window. The standard choice for parking garages, gated communities, hospitals, and corporate facilities.

It operates on the 902-928 MHz UHF band with frequency hopping and a circular-polarized antenna, all integrated into a compact 9.8 x 9.8 x 1.3 inch IP65-rated enclosure rated from -31°F to +150°F. AWID's proprietary encryption prevents cloning or replay attacks. Compatible with the full range of AWID UHF credentials: Windshield Tags (WS-UHF), Side View Mirror Tags (SV-UHF), and Hang Tags (HT-UHF).

Universal Access Panel Integration via Wiegand and RS-232

The LR-3000 outputs Wiegand and RS-232 simultaneously, making it compatible with virtually every access control panel. Wiegand runs up to 500 feet, RS-232 up to 75 feet. Code formats range from 26 to 50 bits, and field-programmable settings cover read repetition rate and RF power level.

For pedestrian access within the same system, the AWID XK-3640 Reader-Keypad reads the same UHF cards at doorways with a 5-8 inch range. Portable credentials include the UHF Key Tag (KT-UHF) and the UHF Graphics Badge (GR-UHF) with up to 20-foot read range. For the previous-generation reader, the AWID LR-2000 shares the same tag ecosystem. Explore the full lineup in our AWID collection or browse all Access Control solutions.
