Sommer Technology: Reliable and Safe

Sommer radio technology includes two types of radio systems: the SOMloq Rolling Code and the SOMloq 2 radio system. These technologies use radio frequencies that have shorter transmission periods. The decreased time makes the system more reliable with speedy and interference-free radio commands.

The rolling code technology is also secured. It maximizes protection to prevent code scanning and grabbing when there is unauthorized access.

The SOMloq2 is an upgrade from the SOMloq1 and incorporates additional updates. These updates include additional radio frequency, encryption, hop function, door status query, and an auto-repeat function. Both technologies are HomeLink compatible; however, the SOMloq2 can only connect with a HomeLink radio receiver module.

Sommer technology also offers an intelligent operator system for garage doors. The Sommer Evo+ is the most advanced garage door controller for ceiling control. It is equipped with various speed and precision settings. The door opener learns continuously to enable it to automatically adjust door operations when needed.

The Sommer Pro+ is a  more than versatile counterpart of the Pro+ garage door operator. It can be mounted three ways: front, rear, or ceiling and is ideal for retrofitting garage operators.

Aside from the radio technology, Sommer also provides classic access systems that can open the door conveniently using fingerprint and numeric codes in addition to the key and card access systems.

The ENTRAsys+ access system has a fingerprint scanner for biometric identification. The ENTRAcode+ has a programmable numeric keypad for keyless entry. ENTRApin+ equips the door with a numeric code that can be opened through radio control.

Enhancing the intelligent integration, Sommer also offers the possibility of a home automation system. Using the SOMweb, garages, doors, and gates can be accessed using the web or smartphones. Homeowners can also opt to add IP cameras for added security.

For a more functional garage system, Sommer added the Telecody Carrier to its list of devices. This smart courier function allows access for delivery employees to leave the packages safely in the garage. Telecody can be opened using the integrated red button or special numeric code.
